Rene' Yerby

Rene’ Danos Yerby, PT, is a licensed physical therapist with over thirty years of experience. Her private practice currently centers on pediatric physical therapy and the use of craniosacral therapy techniques with both children and adults. Craniosacral therapy is a gentle manual therapy technique promoting optimal health and wellness in children and adults, including pregnant and postpartum women and newborns.   ​​

Rene' is a graduate of Louisiana State University. She has worked in acute care, outpatient, school (early intervention programs and elementary school programs), as well as home based therapy settings treating children and adults. She has been a clinical supervisor for therapy students in hospitals and schools. Before starting her private practice in 1989 in Washington, D.C., Rene' worked at Children’s National Medical Center and consulted as a physical therapist in the sensory integration practice of Lynn C. Israel and Associates, Inc.   

She is certified in Neuro Developmental Treatment (NDT) techniques focused on evaluating and treating children with cerebral palsy and other movement disorders (NDT/Bobath Certificate Course in the Management and Treatment of Children with Cerebral Palsy and Other Neuromotor Disorders, NDTA, Inc.)  Rene' has received extensive training in craniosacral therapy techniques from the Upledger Institute and has been a teaching assistant for the Craniosacral Therapy I and II class. She is also certified in Vodder's Manual Lymph Drainage through KLOSE trainings.
